Terms of Use
1. General
These terms govern your use of the UUID Factory website (https://uuidfactory.com), including the UUID generator, bulk tool, validator, API, and content (blog, documentation). By using the service you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Services
The service provides free of charge: UUID generation (versions 1, 4, 7, Nil, GUID), bulk generation with export (JSON, CSV, SQL), UUID validation, and an HTTP API for generation and validation. Blog and Developer's Corner content is for information only. We do not guarantee continuity or uninterrupted availability of the services.
3. API
Use of the API is permitted for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree to comply with the limits and technical requirements described in the API documentation (e.g. User-Agent header). Abuse of the API (e.g. overloading the server, automation that disrupts the service) is prohibited. We reserve the right to restrict or block API access in case of a breach of these terms.
4. No warranty
The website and API are provided “as is”. We give no warranty as to availability, accuracy, or fitness for purpose of generated UUIDs or content. UUIDs generated by the service conform to RFC 4122; we are not responsible for their use in external systems.
5. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any damages (direct, indirect, or consequential) arising from use or inability to use the website or API. You use the service at your own risk.
6. Content and intellectual property
Website content (text, layout, code) is protected by copyright. You may use it in accordance with applicable law (e.g. reading, linking). You may use code samples from the Developer's Corner and blog in your own projects. Do not claim authorship or remove source attribution where required.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will notify you of material changes on the website or via a notice in the service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
