1. Data controller
The data controller for the UUID Factory website (https://uuidfactory.com) and your data (to the extent it is processed) is the entity operating this service. Contact: contact@uuidfactory.com.
2. What data we collect
We currently do not collect any personal data. UUID generation, validation, and use of the bulk tools take place in your browser; no content is sent to our servers. The API may record standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, User-Agent, request time) for service maintenance — we do not use them for user profiling.
3. Cookies and similar technologies (GDPR)
We do not use cookies at this time. The only information stored locally is your light/dark theme preference (localStorage in your browser). This is not a cookie under GDPR and does not require consent.
In the future we plan to integrate advertising (e.g. Google AdSense) or other third-party services. In that case:
- cookies (including tracking cookies) may be used by ad providers;
- before enabling ads we will display a banner or notice with information about cookies and the option to give consent (consent will be voluntary);
- we will update this privacy policy and may add a separate cookie notice.
You have the right to withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time (e.g. via browser settings or our future consent management mechanism).
4. Legal basis and purposes of processing
If we process personal data in the future (e.g. in connection with ads or analytics), we will do so on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) or the controller’s legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)), depending on the purpose. We do not currently process personal data for marketing or analytics purposes.

6. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy. We will notify you of material changes (e.g. introduction of ads and cookies) on the website or via a notice in the service. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
